The Fisheries Certificate Programme (FIH1163: Fish Health Management) conducted a practical session to provide students with hands-on exposure to fish health and laboratory techniques.
This session aimed to introduce the use of microscopes for monitoring fish bacteria and parasites. Additionally, students were exposed to the observation of marine fish larvae, otolith extraction procedures, otolith identification, and fish age determination methods through otolith structure analysis.
Through this practical session, students not only grasped the theoretical aspects but were also able to apply practical skills to identify disease agents and assess the biological development of fish more accurately and systematically.
